Hi Nikki!
I'm taking a break right now from everything else in my life....and just reading your blog! Funny, I spend a lot of time on the computer now...doing CYBER FYBER stuff...but I just don't get the time to read other blogs much and I miss it.

Anyway, I adored your purple quilt series...each is wonderful. Oh, and about pleasing husbands (or anyone else!)...don't worry about it. The circles are great.

I just read something about taking said, "...very often, a risk is worth taking simply for the sake of taking it. There is something enlivening about expanding our self-definition, and a risk does exactly that. Selecting a challenge and meeting it creates a sense of self-empowerment that becomes the ground for further successful challenges." It's from Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way". Basically, don't worry about what others say...even your husband...take risks...only in risk taking can art making progress!

By the way...don't you think it's about time to change that "wannabe artist" line on your blog! You are an artist! Claim it; it's yours....Oh, there was a reason I came here to your blog.....yes, I remember....

Your WONDERFUL postcard arrived! Thank you ever so much!
