Goodbye Precious Madeline

My heart is broken. My dear friends', Cindy and David Lester, three year old daughter, Madeline spent the last six months recovering from heart surgury in the ICU at Children's Hospital in Seattle. She suffered many setbacks, but each time God pulled her through. A couple weeks ago she developed a blood infection which ravished her little body. Earlier this week she suffered a brain hemorage. She was taken from her mother's arms into the loving arms of God. Everyone who has been touched by her incredible spirit and parents mighty faith aches with her passing. I poored my grief into this book, a guest book for her memorial service. Maddie, I miss you and my kids are anxious to go to Heaven so they can play with you there. Cindy and David, I love you more than words can say.

Hi!
From the time you first posted, my family and I have prayed for all of you...you know that. So, please understand that this is no criticism...I think your post meant to have a photo or some way of looking at the album. It isn't working...and...I'd love to see it. Today, Steve got his Red Cross donor's card (I've had one for years) and we drove past the American Red Cross and spoke of Maddie and tomorrow's blood drive and the tears that will be shed and the lives that will be eased with the donations.

Thank you Susan. The blood drive went amazingly well. They had five station going solid for five hours and had to turn people away because they didn't have time. We tried not to cry--the day was to be a day of celebration--but very few eyes stayed dry. I will have to bring my box of tissue today.

Oh dear Nikki - I came to your blog to find some sunshine and found this incredible bit of sadness. There are no words to express sadness like this. I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of this sweet little lamb. My thoughts and prayers to you and her family. Your album is delicate and lovely -- as I'm sure Maddie was.
